What’s happening?

Discover a new era of financial possibilities for our Defence community through the partnership between NZDF and the Police Credit Union (PCU).

About the Police Credit Union (PCU)

PCU, a not-for-profit organisation, has been dedicated to providing financial services to New Zealand Police members and families for over 50 years. Now, it extends its support to NZDF members and veterans and their families. 100% of the profits are reinvested for member benefits.

Joining the PCU

By signing up to any PCU offering you will join a membership with the Police Credit Union.  This membership is exclusive to NZDF and their families. To find out more, visit here.

Who is eligible to use PCU services?

Members of Regular Force, Territorial Forces, civilian employees, and their families, and Veterans and their families are eligible.

Locally Employed Civilians who permanently reside overseas and casual employees are not eligible.

To take advantage of these benefits you'll need to become a PCU member. Head to the PCU Defence page for more information.

Continuous support beyond service

Even if you leave NZDF, you can continue accessing PCU services. We remain committed to the financial wellbeing of our Defence community.

Why choose PCU?

PCU offers special products for first home buyers and retired members, fee-free spending and saving accounts and more.

The partnership story

NZ Police and NZDF, connected by a century of service, join forces with the PCU to offer greater benefits to our families. It’s a win/win, supporting our aim to enhance financial wellbeing while expanding PCU’s membership base and ability to offer more to all members.
