1. The Dental Flight will be closed 19 Dec 2023 and re opens 8 Jan 2024.
After Hours
2. NZDF Dental Services does not provide after-hours dental care. a. Regular Force personnel can only seek emergency dental treatment for relief of pain through a civilian dental practice after-hours. b. After-hours is defined as outside 0800 – 1630 hrs Monday to Friday, weekends, and public holidays.
3. Personnel in the Marlborough area are to contact the Wairau Hospital on 03 520 9999 and request the dentist on-call duty contact number.
4. Personnel must contact the Base Dental Flight upon return to work to arrange a follow-up appointment with a Dental Officer.
Reimbursement of Costs
5. Reimbursement of costs incurred is done through an MD990 through the Base Dental Flight. Receipts and copies of the civilian dental treatment notes and radiographs (x-rays) are required for reimbursement. These are to be taken to the Base Dental Flight or email JSGFHODentalWoodbourne@nzdf.mil.nz.
