Defence Health Centre Devonport and Dental Centre Devonport will be closed from 1200 15 Dec 23 and will reopen on Mon 15 Jan 24.
Planning for closure
1. Urgent deployment medicals and follow up appointments should be sent to DHCDNB@nzdf.mil.nz for triage and booking.
2. Requests for repeat prescriptions are to be forwarded by 24th November 2023. Please email your request to DHCNurses@nzdf.mil.nz with the following information:
a. Service number
b. Full name and rank
c. Date of birth
d. Name of medication required

3. If NZDF uniform staff can access after-hours Medical Assistance through any urgent care clinic. Local options are:
a. Shorecare Urgent Care Smales Farm - 74 Taharoto Rd, Takapuna.

c. White Cross St Lukes – 52 St Lukes Rd

Dental Care
4. If you are pain and require emergency dental care, please go to your nearest civilian
dentist for pain relief. You will be required to pay and claim. We do not provide emergency
dental services over the Xmas/NY period (20 Dec 23 – 7 Jan 24). If you are in pain and
require emergency dental care, please go to your nearest civilian dentist for pain relief.

Mental Health Support

7. All members of NZDF and the Defence community can contact this service for 24/7 confidential support. This includes regular force, civilians, veterans, reserves and family members.
8. Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) counselling support services (up to six sessions) are accessible to Regular Force and civilians for any issue. EAP services (up to six sessions) are also available for Reserves and Families of NZDF members for Defence related issues.

10. Payment for Medical or Dental will be required at the time you are seen. Costs can be claimed back via MD990.

b. Copy of treatment notes
c. Receipts for cost of care and prescription
