The Waiouru Defence Health Centre and Extend Care Facility will be closed from 0800 on Wednesday 20 Dec 23, and will re-open at 0800 on Monday 15 Jan 24.
The DHC only will re-open with minimal staffing from Monday 8 Jan 23.

Prescriptions:
Requests for repeat prescriptions are to be forwarded by 13 Dec 23 in order to allow for processing by clinical and admin staff.
Between the hours of 2100 – 0800, an emergency service is provided by Whanganui Hospital on 06 348 1234.
Military patients outside of the Waiouru area are advised to contact their nearest after hours medical centre or hospital Accident and Emergency department.
In the event that Waiouru military personnel need to visit WAM or another non NZDF health provider:
Retain any receipts and proof of prescription charges. These can be submitted for reimbursement on an MD990 and brought to DHC WAI.
Obtain a copy of your medical notes and hand into DHC WAI for inclusion in NZDF medical records.
